How many days do you have to cancel?

If you have purchased a timeshare and have thought it was a bad idea then would decide you would want to cancel the contract, you would be given by the timeshare company a time period to be able to cancel the contract.

Generally, timeshare cancellation periods are from 5 to 15 days after the purchase. Within that time period, you are allowed to legally rescind the contract. After the cancellation period given to you by the timeshare company has expired, you can still be able to cancel the contract but you would be paying for penalties.


When does a customer have no right to a cancellation period?

If you buy a timeshare, you should always check the contract and make sure that the right to cancellation period is indicated there. This way, whenever you change your mind and decide that you want to cancel your timeshare contract.

If you end up signing a contract without the cancellation period given, you might have to pay for penalties if you ever decide to cancel the timeshare.
